Why is my RelayFax Logs directory taking up so much hard drive space? (548) Print

Verify that you do not have debug logging enabled in RelayFax.

  1. Open RelayFax
  2. Click File
  3. Click RelayFax Properties
  4. Click the Logs tab
  5. Uncheck the box for 'Enable debug logging'
  6. Click Apply
  7. Click Ok

Additional Comments

When debug logging is enabled, files that start with a 'M_' prefix will be created in the Logs directory for each active device (modem or fax board port). These files are kept open while running for performance reasons. RelayFax must be shut down to access these files. If you wish to remove them, you may safely do so after shutting down RelayFax.
