Setting up Password Protection in the RelayFax 7.0.6 server(55) Print

This article explains how to setup RelayFax to require all outbound faxes to include a password.

From the RelayFax menu bar:

  1. Click Accounts.
  2. Click Account Manager.
  3. In the Real Name box, type out the Real Name for this account (example: Megan Ball).
  4. In the Email address box type out the email address for this account (example: user01@example.com).
  5. In the Password field you can create a user password for this account.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Click OK.

Note: Once you have set this option, each user will have to place this new password within their RelayFax SMTP Client.

RelayFax SMTP Client

  1. Load the RelayFax SMTP Client.
  2. Right click the RelayFax SMTP Client icon in the system tray to open a pop up menu.
  3. Click Properties.
  4. In the Fax Password field enter the password you were given for the fax server.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click OK.

Additional Comments

When you create the user accounts you have the choice of creating a password or leaving it blank.
