How to Fax attached files with RelayFax (90) Print

This article explains the steps required to have RelayFax be able to fax attachments included in email messages.


First you will need to setup your RelayFax Server:


  1. Click Tools.
  2. Click Attachment Faxing.
  3. Check the Convert and Fax Attached Documents Found within Email Messages box.


If you do not see the extension you want RelayFax to attach in the Document Types you can manually add them to the list.


  1. In the Add New File Extension field, type the extension you want to add
  2. Click the Add button
  3. Click Apply.
  4. Click OK.


Each document type listed in the Document Types requires a print registry association pointing to a piece of software capable of printing that document type without user intervention. For example, a print registry entry pointing to Microsoft Excel is required to convert and fax an .xls document type. To send an attachment to RelayFax:


  1. Right Click the RelayFax client from your system tray.
  2. Click Compose a New Fax
  3. Type the fax number of where you want the fax to be sent along with the Recipient's name and Company.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. Select the Attached Documents tab.
  6. Click the Browse button.
  7. Browse through your computer to the directory that holds the file you want to fax.
  8. Click on the file you want to send.
  9. Click the Open button.
  10. Click the Add button.
  11. Click the Send Fax button.
