RelayFax is not processing some emails and is giving the 'Duplicate Message-ID Detected' error message.
This is most commonly caused because the email does not have a message-id header field in it.
A. Put a message-id header into the message before RelayFax downloads it.
From the MDaemon menu:
- Click Setup.
- Click Miscellaneous Options.

- Click the Headers tab.

- Place a check in the box for Force “Message-ID:” header in all messages.

- Click Apply.

- Click OK.

OR
B. Eliminate the use of the msgid.dat file.
- Right click on Start and chose Explore.
- Expand (single click the + to the right of the icon)C: drive.
- Expand the RelayFax folder.
- Single click the folder called App.
- In the right hand pane of the Explorer Dialog box, open the msgid.dat file (by double clicking) into a text editor.
- Delete all the message-id's from there.
- Save this file.
- Close the text editor.
- Right click the msgid.dat file to open a pop up menu.
- Select properties to open a dialog box.
- Find the Attributes section at the bottom of the General tab, and click the box next to Read only.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK.
- Restart RelayFax.
This last solution effectively eliminates use of the msgid.dat file as a safety measure.
