This article explains the steps to setup RelayFax to work with MDaemon.
You can set up RelayFax and MDaemon in several ways. This is just
one way to setup RelayFax with MDaemon having RelayFax monitor a
directory for messages.
Using RelayFax and MDaemon with no POP3 access.
MDaemon
- Click Accounts.
- Click New Account.
- In the Full Name field type RelayFax.
- Disable the POP3/IMAP Access.
- Click the Mailbox tab.
- In the Message Directory field, note the Directory that MDaemon has created for you. You will use this path in RelayFax.
- Click OK.
RelayFax
- Open the RelayFax.ini file with Notepad (keep a backup copy).
- Edit the RFC822= section of the INI - for the value, enter the directory from step 6 above (full directory).
- Save the file, and restart RelayFax. RelayFax should now monitor that folder for faxes.
In this configuration, no POP3 access to the MDaemon server would be required thus saving resources on your network.
