If you have multiple MDaemons on one network, it may be more efficient to have one MDSpamD handle the AntiSpam duties for all MDaemons.
In this example, server A will provide AntiSpam duties for server B.
On Server A:
- Open the MDaemon interface
- Select the Security menu
- Select Spam Filter
- Select the MDSpamD tab
- Disable 'Listen on and accept connections only from 127.0.0.1'
- Under 'Listen for connections on this IP' ensure that is entered
- For 'Allow connections from these IPs' ensure that the IPs to which other MDaemons will connect is entered (if your IP addresses are 192.168.0.*, enter '192.'
- Click Apply and OK
On Server B and any other MDaemon servers:
- Open the MDaemon interface
- Select the Security menu
- Select Spam Filter
- Select the MDSpamD tab
- Enter the IP or name of Server A for 'Host or IP' and leave port at 783
- Click Apply and OK
