Using one MDaemon MDSpamD for several MDaemons Print

If you have multiple MDaemons on one network, it may be more efficient to have one MDSpamD handle the AntiSpam duties for all MDaemons.

In this example, server A will provide AntiSpam duties for server B.

On Server A:

1. Open the MDaemon interface
2. Select the Security menu
3. Select Spam Filter
4. Select the MDSpamD tab
5. Disable 'Listen on and accept connections only from 127.0.0.1'
6. Under 'Listen for connections on this IP' ensure that is entered
7. For 'Allow connections from these IPs' ensure that the IPs to which other MDaemons will connect is entered (if your IP addresses are 192.168.0.*, enter '192.'
8. Click Apply and OK

On Server B and any other MDaemon servers:

1. Open the MDaemon interface
2. Select the Security menu
3. Select Spam Filter
4. Select the MDSpamD tab
5. Enter the IP or name of Server A for 'Host or IP' and leave port at 783
6. Click Apply and OK
