How to whitelist a sender's address Print

  • 0

Mail from a particular sender is being marked as spam, and deleted or moved to the Spam Trap public folder. You need to prevent any mail from that sender from being marked as spam. You need to prevent any mail from that sender from being marked as spam and delivered to the recipient.

Add the user to the White List (by sender) section in the spam filter settings. To do so, open the MDaemon console and follow these steps:

MDaemon 17.x:

  1. Click Security
  2. Click Spam Filter
  3. Under the Spam Filter section on the left hand pane, click White List (by sender)
  4. On the right hand side, under the comments section (denoted by the # symbols) enter the senders complete email address. (For example: user01@example.com)
  5. Click OK

Additional Comments

Adding an address to the White list does not bypass the Spam Filter for messages from that sender. This setting adds a negative number to the spam score, lowering the overall score for the received message. By default, this score is -100, but that can be configured in the Spam Filter setting 'A white list match subtracts this many points from the spam score.'
