How to uninstall the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Print

This article explains how to uninstall the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 components from an MDaemon Messaging Server, BlackBerry Edition installation.

In the MDaemon console:

1. Click the File menu
2. Click Stop MDaemon
   

In Windows:

1. Click the Windows Start Menu
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click Add or Remove Programs

• Uninstall the following programs:
  -BlackBerry Enterprise Server for MDaemon
  -Microsoft SQL Server 2005
  -Microsoft SQL Server Native Client
  -Microsoft SQL Server Setup Support Files (English)
  -Microsoft SQL Server VSS Writer

Note: When uninstalling Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Enable (check) both MDAEMON: Database Engine and Workstation Components to fully uninstall the SQL server. Otherwise, choose MDAEMON: Database Engine to only remove the MDaemon database.

Start MDaemon:

1. Click the Windows Start Menu
2. Select All Programs
3. Select MDaemon
4. Click Start MDaemon

Note: The uninstaller will leave behind the \MDaemon\BES\ directory. Once you are certain you would not need the database that was used, you may discard this directory.
