This article will explain how to wipe a BES enabled device that has been lost or stolen

 

Note: This article only applies to the MDaemon BlackBerry Edition version 12.5.4 and up

 

Within the MDaemon console:

 

  1. Click the Accounts menu
  2. Click Edit Account...


  3. Double click on the account that has the lost or stolen BlackBerry device


  4. Click BlackBerry Enterprise Server
  5. Click Erase all data on device, or Erase work related data only
    Note: The Erase work related data only depends on your BlackBerry device (Device OS 6.0 MR2 or higher), see Related Articles for more information.

  6. Click Yes on the dialog box that appears to erase the device


  7. Click OK on the MDaemon dialog box stating the command has been sent


  8. Click OK

 

Additional Comments

 

If the device is off, it will be unable to receive the command to restore the device to factory settings. However, once it is on, it will process the command within a few minutes.
