MDaemon 16.5.0 includes support for the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP). This will allow third party chat clients that support XMPP to send instant messages to other MDaemon users and send multi-user/group chats.

- XMPP is completely independent from MDaemon's WorldClient Instant Messenger
- Most XMPP clients can resolve DNS SRV records for auto-discovery of host names
- Enabled by default, the XMPP is a service installed by MDaemon that utilizes port 5222 (non-SSL) and 5223 (SSL)
- To view/edit the XMPP server and/or ports:
- Select Setup
- Select Web & IM Services...

- Click XMPP
- Make desired changes

- Click OK when finished
