How do I convert my disk partition from FAT or FAT32 to the NTFS File System so that I can install and use SecurityGateway?
Microsoft Windows comes with a utility to convert a drive to the NTFS file system.
Please note: conversion to NTFS is a one-way process. After converting, you cannot revert back to the previous file system without reformatting the drive.
- Click Start

- Click Run

- Type CMD

- Click OK

- At the command prompt, type CONVERT [driveletter]: /FS:NTFS.
- Convert.exe will attempt to convert the partition to NTFS.
Note: If you are trying to convert a drive that is currently in use, such as the drive where Windows is installed and running, it may require a reboot in order to run the conversion process.
