This article explains how to quickly input addresses you wish to blacklist or whitelist into SecurityGateway from a .CSV (comma-separated-value) file if you have one exported from SecurityGateway, MDaemon, another application or created manually.
From the Dashboard, after logging in:
Click on Security, in the lower-left corner.
Click on Addresses, Hosts, or IPs under either the Blacklists or Whitelists subsection, on the left.

Click on the Import button along the top of the window to bring up the Import Lists window.

- Click on the Browse button, and navigate to the .CSV file you wish to import. The path will appear in the field to the left.
- Click on Import Lists, along the top of the window.

You will then get a status window of how many lines were read by SecurityGateway from the file, how many were successfully imported, and how many failed when importing.
Note that the .CSV file must have the following format to be imported successfully:
Domain, 'User', 'IP', 'Value', 'Type', 'Comments'
Under Domain, you may record the specific domain in SecurityGateway this particular entry should belong to, or leave blank to be in the global list for the entire server.
Any IP addresses you wish to add to the white/blacklist should be entered under 'IP', and any domains or email addresses should be listed under 'Value'. Enter any comments you wish for each entry under the 'Comments' column.
Under 'Type', add in the following information for each entry:
- BlackListAddressGlobal for email addresses you wish to globally blacklist, or BlackListAddress for ones for specific domains.
- BlackListIPGlobal for IP addresses you wish to globally blacklist, or BlackListIP for ones for specific domains.
- BlackListHostGlobal for domains you wish to globally blacklist, or BlackListHost for ones for specific domains.
- WhiteListAddressGlobal for email addresses you wish to globally whitelist, or WhiteListAddress for ones for specific domains.
- WhiteListIPGlobal for IP addresses you wish to globally whitelist, or WhiteListIP for ones for specific domains.
- WhiteListHostGlobal for domains you wish to globally whitelist, or WhiteListHost for ones for specific domains.
Additional Comments
Note that you may import entries of multiple types into SecurityGateway from one .CSV file, and one import session. Also, it does not matter which section you choose to import into, as SecurityGateway will put all items into the proper list when it imports.
