Note: Before editing the MDaemon.ini file on the server, you will want to back up the \MDaemon\App\MDaemon.ini file to another location.
By editing the MDaemon.ini file on the server, you may remove the product and version information from the SMTP, POP, and IMAP greetings.

1. Open the \MDaemon\App\MDaemon.ini file with Windows Notepad.
2. Add the following line to the [Special] section:
   'StickHeadInSand=Yes'
   
3. Click File
4. Click Save
   

In order for the changes to take effect, you may restart MDaemon or create a semaphore file to reload the cache.

To reload the MDaemon cache with a semaphore file:

1. Right click within the \MDaemon\App directory and create a new text document.
   
2. Name the file 'reloadcache.sem'. Contents of the file are not important.
   
3. MDaemon should remove the file and process it.
