Configuring Windows Phone 8 to use MDaemon's ActiveSync Server Print

Use this article to configure Windows Phone 8/8.1 devices to sync email, contacts, calendars, and tasks from the MDaemon account via ActiveSync.

Windows 8 Mail requires a configuration of a Microsoft account first before any other account can be created. Start this KBA after the Microsoft account has been added. 

From the device:

1. Open Settings
2. Select email + accounts
3. Select add an account
4. Select Exchange
5. Enter the email address and password for the MDaemon account.
6. Select Sign in
7. If the device isn't able to find your settings, they will need to be entered manually
   Email address - enter the MDaemon account address
   Password - enter the MDaemon account password
   User name - enter the user name (leave off the domain)
   Domain - enter the MDaemon account domain name
8. Select Sign in
9. Select Advanced
10. In the Server field, enter the MDaemon server host name or IP address.
11. Select Sign in to complete
    - If using a self-signed certificate, you will issued a security warning as the device cannot verify a self signed certificate.
