Our Security Team at Data Center has recently identified some vulnerabilities and performance concerns in the current version of MariaDB being used. Additionally, the version in use has reached its End of Life (EOL) and is no longer receiving security patches or updates from the vendor.

To ensure the highest levels of security, stability, and performance, we have scheduled a maintenance window to upgrade MariaDB to the latest supported version.

If you have any concern regarding this MariaDB update you can contact us by or before 22 October 2025.

Maintenance Details:

• Activity: MariaDB Database Upgrade
• Impact: During the upgrade window, database-driven applications or services may experience brief downtime or intermittent unavailability.
• Schedule: 25 October 2025 02:00 PM CST
• Expected Downtime: 30–60 minutes

Customer Instructions:

• Please ensure that you take a backup of any critical data stored in your applications before the maintenance window, as an added precaution.
• If your application has custom configurations or dependencies tied to the current MariaDB version, kindly review them in advance to ensure compatibility with the upgraded version.
• After the upgrade, we recommend you perform a quick validation test of your applications to confirm that everything is functioning as expected.
• Please engage your website developer to ensure that you are upgraded on the latest version and keep your website coding to ensure that you fully utilize the latest versions.
