Industry News: Barracuda says Replace Email Gateway Device

Barracuda struggles to combat a sprawling malware threat that appears to have undermined its email security appliances in such a fundamental way that they can no longer be safely updated with software fixes. Attackers first started exploiting the flaw in October 2022. Email Security Gateway (ESG) customers are being told to wholesale rip out and replace — not patch — affected appliances.

Product Update: Outbreak Protection & AntiSpam Returning

We've partnered with the company that acquired the cutting-edge Outbreak Protection and AntiSpam technologies used in our MDaemon Email to enhance our email protection services. We are still in the process of finalizing the details and are uncertain if subscription costs will be impacted. Users will be required to update the software in order to access these features. We Asked About AI and This is What You Said... 

We appreciate everyone who took the time to respond to our survey about incorporating generative AI features into MDaemon Webmail. While the feedback was mixed, we received one resounding request: give administrators the power to control its function by toggling it on or off. The survey will remain open throughout July in order to gain more feedback from the user community. Like any technology, we see generative AI as a productivity tool and will continue looking for ways to improve the user's email experience.
